About

Dr. Ruby Ababio-Fernandez has spent her life building bridges between worlds. Raised between Ghana and the United States, she understands what it means to navigate different cultures, identities, expectations, and ways of leading. That experience has become the heart of what shapes her life’s work.

As a transformational leader, Dr. Ruby creates experiences that brings together the wisdom and humanity of African-centered leadership with the strategy, innovation, and global perspective often associated with Western leadership traditions.

For more than twenty years, Dr. Ruby has helped leaders, educators, executives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers discover who they are, find their voice, and lead with greater confidence and impact.

Drawing from her experience as a teacher, school leader, district leader, author, speaker, and national consultant, Dr. Ruby co-developed the Five Pillars of Practice, the transformational framework featured in her book, Shifting Self and System. Through this work, she has helped leaders rethink what is possible for themselves, their organizations, and their communities.

What makes Dr. Ruby unforgettable is that she does not simply teach leadership. She helps people become the leaders they are meant to be.
